Facebook Policy
Hospitality Talent Scouts – Social Networking PolicyDue to the confidential and sensitive nature of Hospitality Talent Scouts’ business, we are unable to “friend” clients and candidates on Facebook for the following reasons, which could potentially negatively affect both a client’s and candidate’s confidentiality.
Client Confidentiality – Some of our clients contract with us on a regular basis to perform Confidential Searches. A Confidential Search is used by an employer wanting us to source candidates to replace a current employee without the knowledge of that employee. Clients contract with us to be able to perform these types of searches without exposing their identity. Friending clients on Facebook exposes our relationship with a client and thus violates confidentiality.
Candidate Confidentiality – Candidates as well as clients that connect themselves with Hospitality Recruiters through Facebook often innocently expose to their current employers that they may be seeking alternative employment. We attempt to protect candidates from innocently doing this.
We do welcome both clients and candidates to view our profiles on Facebook, which are public. We also welcome both clients and candidates to attempt to connect with us through Facebook so that we may be aware of your presence and desire to get to know us; however, we will not accept the friend request, in order to protect your confidentiality.
For candidates, we ask that in addition to your request to connect with us on Facebook, you also E-mail your resume to our attention at info@hospitalitytalentscouts.com.
For clients, we ask that in addition to your request to connect with us on Facebook, you also E-mail your contact and VCard information to us at info@hospitalitytalentscouts.com.
